Our Story


The rise of Apartment/Condo living, a fast-paced lifestyle, stress management were key indicators. Fast food, guilt-free but filling meals and the limited options in the food industry for healthy meals paved the way for the birth of Delicious Ajar. In this part of the world we treat our salads more as a side dish. And, making consumers eat vegetables can be pretty challenging. Salads are healthy but not delicious. In order to make one eat a salad we need to be able to convince and more so entice the customer that our salads in a jar can be delicious.

Our thrust to entice the consumers in eating vegetables and veer away from rice and grains inspired us to create original recipes to make the salad eating experience enjoyable and delicious for the local palette. Delicious is also our promise. A commitment in every salad jar we make.

A pre-pandemic baby as we may seem to be, the lockdown gave us the opportunity to shine thus, from a home-based business, with the power of social media we are able to digitalize our marketing efforts right in time where face-to-face deemed all too abruptly remote.

From our initial offering of 6 Salad Jar variants we now have 9 on our menu. Ajar can mean two things. For us, ajar can literally be Ajar of Salad, Ajar of Poke, Ajar of Snacks, Ajar of Spread that you can take with you anytime and anywhere. And, Ajar can also mean “slightly open”. A revelation of a whole new salad eating experience.
